STEVE Holland believes George Abbey deserves his new contract.
The versatile defender has signed up until 2010 after joining the Alex for a 12 month stint last summer.
"He's earned his new deal,"

"He's earned his new deal," explained Holland.
"He came late as cover but told us that he would fight his way into the team which to be fair, he has done.
"We've got a young group here and George adds valuable experience to that.
"He's played a big part for us in the backend of the season."
