Fun day for deaf children and their families
DEAF children and their families are being invited to a free day of fun at Crewe Hall next month.
The free event, which will run from 10am until 5pm, on Sunday June 15, has been organised by the National Deaf Children's Society.
The Family Fun Day is free for families with deaf children and aims to encourage them to meet new people, gather useful information and share knowledge and experiences.
Youngsters can take part in a variety of activities including a bungee trampoline, climbing wall, arts and crafts, and sports sessions starting at 11am.
The NDCS Listening Bus will also be rolling in for deaf children to try out the latest technology to aid communication.
In addition, this year there will be some special Father's Day themed activities.
Parents can get involved in workshops on a variety of topics.
There will also be an exhibition with infomation on hearing products, schools for deaf children, charities, and community organisations.
NDCS will have an information stand, displaying new publications.
The charity's chief executive Susan Daniels said: "The annual fun day is always a great event where families with deaf children get a chance to meet each other, share experiences and of course have fun.
"This year's event in Crewe will be an exciting day out for all the family, from toddlers to teens, and parents as well."
