KIDS GO FREE AT BLACKPOOL TOWER AND CIRCUS! 2008 is going to be an action packed year for Blackpool Tower and its thousands of visitors. The beacon of family entertainment standing proud on the North West’s coastline, is a favourite amongst adults and children alike, and has already welcomed some very special additions this year. And Kids can go free when accompanied by a full paying adult on production of this feature.

Jungle Jim’s Towering Adventureland is the result of a £3 million investment on level five of the World famous Tower. Two huge Inca gods guard the gateway to The Lost City, which houses a variety of exciting tasks for children to complete in the hunt for buried treasure. This amazing play area complete with scurrying bugs and a quest leads young adventurers to a hologram of a precious stone in the treasure chamber.

Three giant ships stand alongside the enormous gods in the lost city and are available for party hire. Birthday boys and girls can treat their friends to a party like no other as they take over a ship complete with themed characters.

Guests can also relax in the new Restaurant 1894. A tribute to days gone by, the 350 cover seating area, sat between the Tower’s four legs, is furnished with leather sofas, studded panels and dark wood. The chefs and staff in their smart uniforms will be serving up quality dishes to rival the best family dining experiences in the town. For a lighter pit stop the ‘Tower Coffee Company’ offers creamy cappuccinos and tasty, freshly baked muffins.

When playtime is over and you need to rest your legs, take a seat in the world famous Tower Circus arena for a breathtaking performance of ‘Circus Rocks’. This year’s world class acts are better than ever with the usual mix of breathtaking skill and daring, while Mooky & Mr Boo provide the laughter and give the audience a chance to catch their breath between acts.

A show that is truly magic will also be setting sail on Fridays in the circus arena in 2008. ‘Magic of the Caribbean’ will see the circus arena filled with water and all the amazing acts performing from a huge galleon! Plus don’t miss the great variety of family evening entertainment on offer at the Tower.

For the brave you can travel back in time and ‘Walk with Dinosaurs’. Take a seat and don your 3D glasses then gaze open mouthed as you discover the incredible journey these pre-historic creatures experienced.

Dating back to the Victorian era the Tower Ballroom is the most beautiful attraction of all. Steeped in architecture, the Ballroom is home to the mighty Wurlitzer organ which takes pride of place on stage, rising above the crowds to provide music for all. Travel on up to the top of the Tower on the Tower Top ride, here you will find the deft-defying ‘Walk of Faith’. Dare you walk or even stand on the two-inch thick, glass floor and stare in awe down at the promenade below. Visitors can even send their loved one’s a postcard from the Tower top, posting their message at Britain’s highest post box.
